The aim of this Bachelor thesis is a theoretical analysis of thunderstorms, lightning and their detection. The theoretical description then gradually moving towards designing their own detector. The detector will operate so that when a lightning activity captures pulses which generate lightning. Lightning will register using the attached counter. After the storm could be due to information from the counters to evaluate how strong the storm was.
Jan Tříska in Czech theatre and film after the year of 1989

This thesis investigates acting performance of Jan Triska in Czech theatre and film after the revolution of 1989. It focuses on seven specific performances in the theatre productions of King Lear, The Art, The Tempest and Leaving and in the films Elementary School, Lunacy and Piknik. On the basis of reviews, photographs, video recordings of King Lear and Leaving and as well as the above mentioned films, this thesis attempts to define the characteristics of the actor's performance. The work includes a list of Jan Triska's roles in Czech theatre and film since 1989 and a personal interview with Jan Triska about acting in the USA. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Conditions for tornadoes forming over the Czech Republic

The goal of this bachelor's thesis is to review a situation of tornadoes, occurrences of tornadoes and also results of violent winds which accompany thunderstorms above Czech Republic region. The first part looks at conditions required for the formations of tornadoes starting from a clear sky up to thunderstorm cloud. Then it describes development from a thunderstorm and associated hazards up to a tornado. Between main conditions belongs an unstable air mass which reaches high altitudes, high relative humidity, wind shear and vorticity. It also describes real occurrences of stronger tornadoes at Czech Republic. In following part there are processed results including comments with graphical outputs from individual data gathered from particular occurrences. The time span of this thesis is limited by availability of historical data (chronicles, etc.) and they are processed from year 1500 up to year 2015. Results of analysis include remarks and they are refined in discussion. For further and more complex overview about tornado occurrences at our country is necessary to have larger quantity of more precise data.

The comparison of the Operation Desert Storm and the Operation Iraqi Freedom (1991, 2003)

This bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of the Operation Desert Storm (1991) and the Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003), brought against Iraq. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first one focuses on the historical and political context of the Iraq conflict. In the second chapter, the attention is paid to the appreciation for reasons of a military solution and the course of both actions. The third chapter summarizes the consequences of the war to the situation in Iraq.
